Knowing the stages in a relationship helps you understand where you and your partner are at, and helps explain what might appear to be puzzling behaviours. They create a road map to a healthy relationship; there are six relationship stages, as follows:
Attraction stage
In this initial stage both partners are trying to get
along and please each other; both
of you are trying to make things work out. At this point, neither of you will
have seen your respective bad sides as you will have both been on best
behaviour! This is a time
for romance, and butterflies in the stomach!
Disturbance stage
In this stage you each start to notice the differences
between the two of you. Conflicts start
arising however it can be sorted out fast. In this stage, the partners either deal with this or end up breaking up.

Moulding stage
Both partners accept and appreciate each other’s
weaknesses; they avoid use of force and give up the mentality of love without
struggle.
Stability stage
Both partners relax their boundaries and accept that they
may never change the other partner. They start giving each other mutual respect and a deeper love
ensues.
Surrender stage
Partners surrender to reality and accept that
relationships too have their shortcomings. This is where they learn to love each other and truly feel connected
to each other. It is an indication that you are both ready to commit long term
to each other.
This is the last stage; trust at this stage becomes
unbreakable. Couples start working on projects, charity and they become a true team; this is apparent to
all who see them.
What if you falter at one of these stages?
Communication is the most important thing here. Listen to
your partner speak first without interrupting then air out your issues. You may
have to accept that you believe in different things and find a way to come to
terms with this differing of opinion rather than try to change your partner’s
viewpoint.
Hopefully you'll now understand what point your
relationship is at, and if you do I'm sure this knowledge will help you find
the right partner!
If you are already married or in a relationship but you feel like your union is getting unhealthy or is leading to a breakup, here is great article that tells you How to Fix a Broken Relationship.
I also highly recommend to read these books because they have so much useful information about relationships between women and men, lots of great advice on dating, and how to make the right choice and stay happy in a relationship.
